Distant
Galaxies
Bringing the stars closer to you…

You
may
want
to
find
out
more,
or
simply
get
a
taste
for
astronomy
before
you
decide
to
splash
out
on
expensive
telescopes.
If
so,
why
not
spend
a
clear
relaxing
evening
of
your
holiday
or
event
being
guided
around
the
night
sky
by
an
expert?
We are here to help!
If
you
want
to
see
the
splendour
of
a
dark
night
sky
with
our
home
galaxy
the
Milky
Way
arching
across
the
sky,
galaxies,
glowing
gas
clouds
&
dying
stars,
you
need
a
dark,
clear
sky
with
no
street
lights,
security
lights
or
nearby
roads
with
car
headlights.
The
Moon
is
bright
and
needs
to
be
out
of
the
night
sky
too
if
possible.
The
phases
of
the
Moon
change
gradually
through
the
month
from
new
(dark
night
sky)
to
full
(brightest
all
night)
and
back
to
new
again.
You
can
find out the current phase of the Moon below, or the phase for any other date.
If
you
would
like
to
take
a
closer
look
at
our
nearest
celestial
neighbour
the
Moon,
the
best
time
to
look
at
it
with
a
telescope
on
one
of
our
stargazing
nights
is
near
to
half
moon,
although
it
can
also
look
rather
splendid
when
full
too!
